Starborough Farming Co. traces its roots back to 1865, when William Jones arrived in Marlborough from England in search of a better life. Four generations later, the Jones family continues that legacy, managing arable crops, livestock and estate vineyards across the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. The family owns vineyards in three distinct subregions, including the original Starborough sheep station homestead, which gives the wine its name. All wines are made exclusively from estate-grown fruit, ensuring full control over quality and consistency. Starborough produces Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, with a focus on purity, freshness and varietal expression. The wines reflect Marlborough’s vibrant terroir and the Jones family’s long-standing commitment to integrity, sustainability and place.
