Diego Morra represents the third generation of a family deeply rooted in Verduno, one of Barolo's most distinctive and historic villages. Raised among the vineyards by his grandfather Domenico and father Antonio, Diego established the family's own winery in 2006 after generations of growing grapes for other producers. Today, together with his wife Francesca, he continues to build the estate's reputation with wines that capture the elegance, perfume and finesse that have made Verduno famous. The Morra family has been instrumental in preserving the rare indigenous Pelaverga grape since the 1970s, helping rescue the variety from near extinction. Their Verduno Pelaverga has become one of the benchmark expressions of this unique wine, combining vibrant red berry fruit, floral aromatics, signature white pepper spice and exceptional versatility at the table. The estate's Barolos are sourced exclusively from vineyards within Verduno, including the prized San Lorenzo cru. The Barolo del Comune di Verduno showcases the village's hallmark fragrance and silky tannins, while the single vineyard Barolo San Lorenzo di Verduno offers greater depth, structure and complexity, without ever losing the elegance and purity that define this remarkable corner of the Barolo appellation.
