Lamole di Lamole sits high in Chianti Classico, over 500 metres above sea level, on ancient terraced vineyards shaped by hand over centuries. These terraces, made from local stone, help protect the soil, reflect sunlight and retain heat, creating an ideal environment for refined, persistent wines. The estate’s rocky, sandy soils reveal its ocean floor origins, contributing to the unique character of its Chianti Classico wines. Winemaking here follows organic principles, with official certification achieved in 2022 after years of dedicated work. The conversion to organic farming began in 2005, building on earlier efforts to restore traditional methods and preserve biodiversity. Synthetic chemicals were replaced with natural alternatives like composted vine prunings, propolis and aloe. Lamole di Lamole’s approach balances history with quality, focusing on site expression and organic practices that protect both wine character and the land that produces it.
